Garden Buds Stitch

Cast on a multiple of 6 stitches, plus 1.

Row 1 (RS): Knit.

Row 2 (WS): Purl.

Row 3: *Knit 1, bring yarn to front, slip 5 purlwise, bring yarn to back; repeat from * to last stitch, knit 1.

Row 4: *Knit 1, knit 2 together, yarn over, knit 1, yarn over, ssk; repeat from * to last stitch, knit 1.

Row 5: *Purl 1, slip 5 purlwise; repeat from * to last stitch, knit 1.

Row 6: Knit.

Row 7: Knit 3, *pick up the two floats created in rows 3 & 5 and knit them together with the next stitch, knit 5; repeat from * to last 4 stitches, pick up the two floats created in rows 3 & 5 and knit them together with the next stitch, knit 3.

Row 8: Purl.

Repeat rows 3-8 for desired length.
