Garter Stripes

A mustard yellow colored hand knit fabric. It is made out of worsted weight yarn. The fabric has horizontal stripes that alternate every two rows between knit and purl stitches.

This striped stitch made using alternating rows of garter stitch creates a beautiful bouncy fabric. It is a unique stitch for how 3 dimensional it appears, but it is so easy to knit.

Cast on any number of stitches.

Row 1 (RS): Knit.

Row 2 (WS): Purl.

Row 3 (RS): Purl.

Row 4 (WS): Knit.

Repeat rows 1-4 for desired length.
